Just an ordinary week!

I hate the clocks going back and the in the summer going forward! When the clock goes back we are suppose to gain an hour! Where is it? I must have lost mine somewhere in the passing of time, I have been feeling so tired since Sunday! My get up and go has got up and gone! Does anyone else feel like this or am I going down with something but not sure what!

I hate doing the ironing at the best of times,
so occasionally I buy myself a new ironing board cover.
The last one didn't fit properly but I persevered
in the end got fed up putting the
ironing board cover on properly!

Saw this one while doing the shop - it says large on the bag,
it was sitting next to the large sized ironing boards Tescos sell
I assumed it would fit my ironing board

But Nooooooooooo!
It doesn't fit! It is actually one centimetre too small
Grrrrrrrrrr!
I have made up my mind I'm taking it back!

I consoled myself I bought one of these from Lakeland

......and made some of these!

I saw these sweet pink pyjamas for Caitlin
Message to self - must chant
I Must Not Buy Caitlin Anymore Christmas Presents!

Thought I would show you my Cath Kidston
I now know how the "bag lady" feels
but I would like to thank my friend Denise for
the Pin Cushion and Needle Case.

Shhhhhhh! Can you keep a secret........?

Ever since he was a little boy my son Robert has always wanted to act! At the age of five he donned my very bright Christmas jumper and gave us a magic show, he played the little donkey in the school nativity. Three years at Preston uni he studied Performing Arts, then spent a summer at Warwick Castle playing a ghost! Now.........he is an extra - non-speaking but that's a start! He is an extra in BBC's Casualty, and on Saturday 24 October he will be an extra in the BBC series Merlin, he is in a few other series which I will tell you all about nearer the time but at the moment I'm sworn to secrecy!

My son Robert

SUNDAY.....................

.........I arose a little after 8.30ish,
first thing I did was set up the ironing board!
While the iron was warming I had breakfast!

Did about one hours ironing!

Then went into the garden to start pruning!
Warning never let me loose with loppers or secateurs!

Because this is what happens!

It was one of the above!
I just thought I would prune every few days.
I started now because I end up doing it next March
when I should really be planting other things.

While waiting for the kettle to boil I thought I would

sort material for my next quilt project,
this first bit needs to be hand pieced.
Whilst sorting I found the ideal material for the lining
for my PIF gifts so I can start that too!
While on tea break I did a bit of this!
and after quick lunch I
restrung the second string of beads this week!
I charge £7.50 per string but this particular lady
asked if she could have knots between I said the
price would be £15 she said she would have seed beads
instead so I was pleased!

I also finished this
Now I'm going to sit down and have another cuppa and watch a film!
And start one for the projects from above!

Birthday gift

I have completed the birthday gift for my boss Janet
(as seen in last post)
It's her birthday on Saturday.

I know she will be pleased with it
because in the end I told her about it
as it is going into her home
I thought she should choose the cord
that goes round the edge.
The cord is two-tone blue.

This and That........again!

I haven't really looked at the computer for a few days, I don't know why I haven't really done much since my last post. That post made me feel like the oldest blogger on the blogs! All of my four and fifty and a half years! I don't feel it though I do actually feel much younger! But, with that blog I would like to say that you all may have heard one of the Manfreds songs in recent years! "Handbags and Gladrags" The Stereophonics sang it as did Rod Stewart and it was used for the signature tune to Ricky Gervais' "The Office".

First of all I would like to thank Michela for my PIF gift.

I finished this cross stitch for a birthday present
for my boss Janet, she always said she liked it so I thought
I would surprise her - now I have to make it into a cushion!
It was taken from this book

Got my lamp from out of summer "hibernation" to help
me work on these dark nights.
It looks rather like "Pixar" don't you think
bought this material for my PIF gifts
I would also like to thank Gillian for being my third person

Started an Enid Blyton collection for Caitlin, I even
found my Noddy book "Noddy Goes to the Fair"
Found this book of Angels in a charity shop

Another charity shop find!
Something else for Caitlin -
for when we do messy things
at nanny's house!

5......4.......3..........2...........1!

Are you of that generation that when you were about eight you listened to the radio enjoying the pop songs of the day - I mean the days of 1964 to 1969 when the songs were of Manfred Mann! First there was Paul Jones, then Mike D'Abo as lead singer. Well, for the fourth time in as many years they all have appeared in our town's little theatre, the somewhat inappropriately named Regal! It has only 400 seats, so when full as it was last night, its a little cosy to say the least!
