Morrismen danced at a local park this morning, a spot high up at a monument where you can see for miles.... unfortunately this year they all got wet! Me... I was snuggled up in bed reading my book staying warm and cosy.
I always remember seeing maypoles in English children's novels as a child & thought it was fascinating, but also how on earth they didn't get the ribbons tied up in knots. Of course here in Oz, it is now Autumn. Take care.
No, not that I know of. We do have the Brighton Festival that goes on for most of May starting with a chidrens procession and ending with a big firework display. Briony x
I have not been to Minehead for years, I was a child last time we saw the May day celebrations.
